Barry Lyndon (1975): the main character of the movie was playing croquet while he is climbing up the social ladder of the European high class society during the eighteenth century. In the movie, he also taught his son how to play the game.
The games was also featured in some non well known movies such as Howard's End (1991); Nosferatu (1922), where two characters were having a croquet game and was interrupted by the mail arriving; A Room with a View (1985) and Remains of the Day (1993).
